‘Retro items don’t have to be old, they can be brand new, but would have to be made in the style of the time or item they are trying to replicate. So, perhaps the best way to think about the difference between retro and vintage is that vintage refers to the actual construction, whilst retro refers to the appearance’
Retro to me means a style of an era, a time, a memory
I have sailed the world, seen it’s wonder, the beauty of the human race yet i only have to a walk around the corner to find a surprised among the norm.
a gem among stones, a step back to the past. margate retrodavid townsend 2018
walking through the doorway in time one is immersed by ones surroundings, treasures from a time when modern was the ‘in thing’, from
- neon signs
- vintage clothing
- and much more…
within moments of walking in i found so many items i wanted to photograph, my imagination coming up with titles of the photographs i had yet to take, my shutter button just waiting for me to capture a vision.
