Air time

The all new Hasselblad camera using Natural Color Solution (HNCS)

I have been a keen photographer since the days of film, as a teenager then in later life I converted my garage into a darkroom.. Family came, they grew up and so I returned to my hobby I love.

After over thirty years of using my camera on the ground and upon the sea, the time has come [due to my bad back (very severe lover pain)] to take to the air. I have been finding it difficult to walk to the locations to ‘get that shot’, now I am hoping I can walk as far as I can then then ‘drone’ can do the rest (camera in manual mode of course).

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

My fist video from using the DJI Mavic 2 Pro, I was trying to find a location away from people, off the beaten track so to speak. I read many post on Social media about (‘GlueGate’) and many more about the gimbals stability. The day of filming was a windy day although I was in the lee of the cliff in order to comply with the UK Drone guidelines (Sep 2018 – Not to fly within 50m of a person or vehicle or building not under your control) the wind obviously increased once I cleared them, this would a great test of the stability.

I started in ‘Tripod mode’ however it was difficult to keep it in position
due to the wind so I had to us ‘P’ mode, to compensate I slowed the video down by 50% in post.
