Firstly I think as myself as a Photographer so being a first time Drone pilot, trying to fly an aircraft and operate the camera at the same time was to say the least a bit daunting. To complicate matters as with my Fuji X-Pro 2 I use filters.
Living in a built up area it has been difficult to find areas were I can fly, locally I thought a disused Hoverport would be idea. Using NATS app I discovered that on either side of the Hoverport was ‘YELLOW’ Zone which indicated a ‘GROUND HAZARD (Nature reserve) however this surrounded the Hoverport but did not included it.
After thirty years as a hobby my equipment has now been limited to a few basic bits of kit (those listed below), because of my recent disabilities these changed a few year back but now I never leave the house without them.
Two main changes were the mirrorless Fuji X-Pro 2, for its lightness and capability and a drone, the DJI Mavic 2 Pro. My main reason for getting a was my ability to walk distances and a real game changer the ability or rather the lack of ability to remain upright too long. An hour here then lay down, if I am luck maybe two hours and that would be it.
The drone has enabled me to visit places without walking too far.
