7,000 Haystacks on fire

Temperature -1, awake early to capture the crisp sunrise however on-route to the location I noticed a fire upon the horizon. Smoke filling the dawn sky.

This fire was too big, I just had to go and see what it was. From the location I thought it was ‘Thanet Earth’ however as I drove closer it soon become apparent it was a giant haystack. I had seen it during daylight house some 7,000 bails of hay.

Finding a spot away from the traffic and ensuring I stayed well away from the area of the fire the drone was soon in the air, moving upwind of the smoke I captured the scene above. It was bitterly cold the drone was telling me it had a data error and some of the image data my not be saved. I can only presume this was due to the temperature as I have not received the message since.

I also managed to capture some video, both the stills and video were picked up by the New’s networks.
