Littoral light II

A beautiful collection of prints by David Townsend Landscape photographer

lit·to·ral (lĭt′ər-əl)

Adj: Of or on a shore, especially a seashore
Noun: 1. A coastal region; a shore.
2. The region or zone between the limits of high and low tides.

The art will be installed, curated and shown in the short time frame of just a few hours before the tide returns. All traces of the exhibition will vanish overnight leaving only the waves against the iconic white-chalk cliffs of the Kent coastline.

The exhibition is created by Article10, a Thanet-based artist collective. The group was formed in 2016 to pioneer innovative approaches to public art in unusual public spaces. Building upon the success of last year the exhibition has tripled the number of artists taking place this year including artists from the UK, New York, Ireland and Japan.

Visitors to the exhibition are invited to become part of the show by bringing along their own torches and lanterns to light their way as they discover the works amongst the rocks, sand, caves and cliffs.

Photography is a love affair with life

There is only you and your camera. The limitations is your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are.
